"Prison ministries partner with local churches across the country to minister to a group that society often
scorns and neglects: prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families. God, unlike the world, has always chosen to identify
closest with those who are isolated and broken.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger
and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came
to visit me . . . I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”
(Matthew 25:35-36, 40)."

A note from our Chaplain Anthony Carbo:
Every Good gift and every perfect gift comes from
above and with the LORD there are no accidents!
We had a run in with some guy named Dr. Marty Wisor. This was no HIT and Run! It had a lasting impact. Dr. Wisor felt led of the Lord to certify me as a Prison Chaplain because
of my years of prior studies and service Through Calvary Baptist Bible Institute, Seminary, Camp ministry and my involvement
with the Creationist Fellowship Ministry.
When I was Invited by Pastor Jack to head up the Men's Ministry I would have never imagined doing what I am presently doing
now. Right about the same time this all started, we
began to get letters from prisoners from places in Pennsylvania I never even heard of! Men asking for material, bibles, and information about our newly started Graduate studies and even letters
asking for the Creation Science magazine! Pastor Jack
would hand me these letters laughing with tears in his eyes. I always thought he was doing one of his pranks, but it
was no joke.
I
hope and pray I never, ever get used to going to visit a prisoner! It
is never easy! Some of these places are very scary. Sometimes I start to have panic attacks and think they
are going to forget where I am at, and that I'll get locked up!
Since this time, through the LORD'S working and wonderful direction, WE had one captive get saved and had his sentence
reduce from 2 years for aggravated assault to 15 months with possibility of parole. Kevin Gore GOT saved, saved, saved. He has received a
bible and other material all through Pottstown Bibles Prison Ministry. Many others also have received Bibles as well, in Montgomery County Correctional Facility and Gratersford
State Correctional Institute. As a result of this, I have made
a number of key contacts.
I have no idea how all this came about with no money and no support. This was all The Lord's doing and I still can not figure it out !!!
ALL because
of HIM!
